The Calling of God

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

True Communion and True Baptism

When Paul admonished us that we “look NOT at the things which are seen, but at the things which are NOT seen”, what was he trying to get us to realize and focus on?

If true communion was truly eating a cracker and drinking some grape juice, then why would we be commanded to NOT look at those things which constitute true communion? But if true communion was the true breaking of bread unto eternal life, then is not his admonition fulfilled?

When Paul said that our communion is the body of Christ and our communion is in the light and it is the communion of the Holy Ghost, was he referring to physical bread that can be seen and eaten with our fleshy bodies? Or was he referring to the fact that the TRUE BREAD FROM HEAVEN is not the meat which perisheth, but as Jesus said, that it is HE WHICH cometh down from heaven and giveth LIFE unto the world? Did not Jesus say that man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God? Is not Christ and HIS WORD the bread which we should break when we gather together? Is not his BLOOD (his cleansing atonement) and HIS SPIRIT (he came by water and blood) what we should all drink of when we come together? Imagine if we truly focused on these eternal things which CANNOT be seen and partook of this true communion instead of being blinded by the weak and beggarly elements (whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage) of crackers and juice, how much MORE our fellowship would truly be with the FATHER and HIS SON? (For the things which are seen are TEMPORAL, but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL!)

Wouldn't then (and only then) we truly begin to BECOME the very BODY of CHRIST? And then, could not Christ himself look to his Father and give thanks for the few small loaves that we are and then begin to break us and multiply us so that through us MANY HUNGRY SOULS could begin to partake of HIM and HIS WORD? Was not this his VISION and HIS DESIRE from the beginning? That we would bear MUCH FRUIT and MULTIPLY and bring HIM ALL the GLORY and all the praise? And that our eyes would be on the SPIRITUAL and not the CARNAL? Would not this communion create a true BOND of PERFECTNESS that if someone living in sin tried to partake with us but was not discerning the Lord’s TRUE BODY (not a cracker), would not God’s Spirit himself smite him with such infirmity of the flesh (if he would not humble himself unto repentance) that would leave him SICKLY and possibly even DEAD?

Should a man EXAMINE himself just before he eats a cracker once in a while (or often)? Or should a man examine himself EVERY TIME he gathers with CHRIST’s BODY to partake of CHRIST and HIS WORD so as not to corrupt the purity of our passover meal without leaven? Was the leaven Christ spoke of to his disciples the physical leaven that can cause crackers to rise into doughy bread? Or was he speaking of the HYPOCRISY of the PHARISEES (those that put on a VAIN SHOW focusing on the things which ARE SEEN but their HEARTS are FAR from GOD)? Was not the leaven PAUL was warning about the leaven of sin and defilement of the flesh? Is not THIS the leaven that is to be put away?

Should this spiritual leaven only be dealt with when we are eating PHYSICAL bread or should this LEAVEN be dealt with every time we are breaking the SPIRITUAL BREAD?

Should the body of Christ gather together and share a meal and drink? Absolutely! Should the body of Christ require such intense focus on this physical meal and drink? God forbid! Should not the body of Christ, whether physically eating or fasting, be breaking the TRUE BREAD from heaven and drinking the TRUE DRINK from heaven so that the BODY of CHRIST will be EDIFYING ITSELF IN LOVE? Should ordinances be physical rituals with spiritual symbolism in the New Testament? Or should ordinances be God’s ORDERS and his WAYS being re-established in HIS PEOPLE called by HIS NAME according to HIS WORD for HIS PURPOSE? Are we certain that the Biblical use of ORDINANCES really refers to 2 physical acts that we are told are to be religiously performed by a SPIRITUAL NATION? Is it possible that we have completely misunderstood that word and it’s proper usage as God has left it to us in his word? The first usage of the word “ordinance” in the Bible refers to ISRAEL (a physical nation) keeping a PHYSICAL FEAST called the PASSOVER. But is the PASSOVER that ISRAEL kept literally truly the same PASSOVER that we as a SPIRITUAL NATION is to keep? Or was their passover just a shadow of the TRUE PASSOVER to come? (See 1 Cor 5:7). Was not Israel’s ordinances called “CARNAL ORDINANCES in Hebrews and that these CARNAL ORDINANCES were meant to be done AWAY IN CHRIST? If we are commanded to set our affection on things ABOVE and not on the EARTH, then do you truly think that our ORDINANCES in the BODY of CHRIST are CARNAL ORDINANCES (physical bread, physical, juice, physical water baptism)? Are there not ORDINANCES of HEAVEN? (see Job 38:33). Is not God-ordained authority and government referred to as the ORDINANCE OF GOD? Is this a CARNAL ritual? Or does it refer to PROPER AUTHORITY? IS it not possible then that the ORDINANCES that Paul is speaking of in 1 Corinthians 11 referring to GOD’s ORDAINED AUTHORITY STRUCTURE and HEADSHIP? Are not HIS ORDINANCES that WOMAN be UNDER MAN, and MAN be UNDER CHRIST, and CHRIST be UNDER GOD? Would not the fear then not be eating a cracker and drinking grape juice unworthily…? But would it not RATHER BE trying to be a PART of CHRIST’s BODY but NOT BE UNDER HIS GOVERNMENTAL HEADSHIP and living in obedience to HIS COMMANDS? ARE NOT THESE THE PREEMINENT ORDINANCES that whenever we gather together we MUST be VIGILANT to KEEP?

Please, may I help you answer these questions? The answer to these questions should be simple and obvious. But often man’s tradition blinds us from the very scriptures that we think we are hiding behind so that the WORD OF GOD becomes of NONE EFFECT and we fail to HEAR THE VOICE OF THE SPIRIT unto the CHURCHES. May we not allow this leaven of the Pharisees to corrupt us so that we cannot hear the voice of him that SPEAKETH FROM HEAVEN (new covenant). The true ordinances of God are his HEAVENLY APPOINTED ORDERS and AUTHORITY for us to operate by as his SPIRITUAL NATION that is already RAISED and SEATED in HEAVENLY PLACES in CHRIST! These ordinances are NOT carnal rituals. Should we baptize in water? Absolutely! Why? Because it is an ordinance? NO! But because it is what the LORD himself and his early church did. But should our focus ever be on the WATER BAPTISM? God forbid! Our focus must be on the baptism of the SPIRIT and their identification with the FATHER and THE SON and the HOLY GHOST! Should we gather together and eat modest meals together? Absolutely! But should that be the point of emphasis that causes us to examine ourselves for sinfulness? God FORBID! No, we must seek God to cleanse us from SIN so that we can be PURE BREAD as the BODY of CHRIST that is UNLEAVENED with SINCERITY AND TRUTH just as our LORD JESUS (the true bread from heaven) was unleavened without guile or sin. And the focus of this true breaking of bread is not JUST to be unleavened (for the sake of being unleavened), but it is so that we can truly be living sacrifices that are holy and acceptable to the Father so that as we depart from our gatherings we might be BROKEN and MULTIPLIED to feed CHRIST JESUS to HIS lost sheep that are scattered (and the crumbs can go to the lost and dying world)! Can we see how different GOD’s ways are then our ways? But can we not begin to see how much more Spiritual his ways are and that through keeping HIS ORDINANCES (not men’s carnal ordinances) we might actually fulfill his will on THIS EARTH as it is in HEAVEN?
