Paul states the truth that it is a great mystery that God himself was manifest in the flesh. Here we take a more in-depth look through the scriptures based upon some truths revealed back in the Old Testament at why Jesus, the Messiah, could not have just been another ordinary, flesh-and-blood human being; but rather, that based upon the roles he was to fulfill and the salvation that he was to bring, he had to be none other than God himself in the flesh.
