God’s Great Grace
The more we completely surrender to the LORD and his will, the more we see his grace reign in every area of our lives. The more his grace reigns, the more his righteousness is worked within us and through us. The more we walk in righteousness, the more pleased our Father is with us and the more grace he pours upon us. And it’s only by his grace that others turn from sin and death unto Christ and his righteousness and his life. May God turn hearts unto HIM by his grace.
The New Year
The LORD has given such a sweet peace in HIM at the beginning of this new year. Such a quiet rest in his word and in good godly books. The work with the new church continues. We wrapped up our messages on “The King of Glory” and now we are looking at “The Glory of God” revealed to man throughout the ages. It is wonderful to see God’ glory revealed in the scriptures. Oh how we long to enter the fulness of this glory when he appears. People are certainly being confronted with the truth regarding sin, worldliness, flesh, and Jesus Christ and walking in HIM. Please pray that God will give grace to people to find true godly sorrow unto repentance that they might find deliverance and salvation from these traps and snares that hinder a true spiritual walk in Christ and growth and maturity.
Feed My Sheep
A small team has formed of people who are ready to be serious disciples of Christ. Andrew, Leon, and myself meet every Tuesday and Thursday @10am. We seek God’s face together, then we spend a couple hours in the word, and then we go out and do evangelism for a few hours. These young men have no ulterior motives and no false doctrine that they are trying to justify. They are just humble, ready learners of the word. So far we have gone through all of Philippians and Colossians; we are ministering in 2 informal settlements (The Cross Roads and Boitumelo), and we also go to downtown Alberton to preach and evangelize. Please pray as it looks like we are getting breakthrough in all 3 regions. One lady and a young couple have started coming to the church through our Alberton outreach. In Boitumelo we have seen a man who was on the verge of death recover by God’s grace and now wants to follow Christ. And in the Cross Roads, an old lady led us to a shack that is set aside as a church building with a pulpit and chairs ready for us to come start gathering people together! So our plan is to begin meeting there weekly in March. Please keep these endeavors and our team in prayer.
Little Judah
God has really helped us every step of the way with our little Down syndrome son. I will try to keep this update brief. After many postponements, he ultimately was supposed to go in for his open heart surgery on Feb 23. But by God’s grace (and truly it was God’s grace) it was discovered at the last hour that he had a herniated bowel that was literally up in front of his heart. This would have been a disaster had they tried to do the heart surgery. So instead, they did a surgery to repair the herniated bowel first. The surgery went great. We praise God as they were able to do it via scope (instead of having to cut open his belly). He had some complications post-op with breathing, but by God’s grace he is now home and recovering nicely. We thank everyone for all their prayers and support at this time for little Judah. The surgery took quite a hit on him as he lost about 0.7 kg and quite a bit of muscle and strength, but he is slowly recovering. We are now waiting and praying for when to bring him back for the heart op. Email me if you’d like the more detailed testimony…
All-in-all
The grace of God truly is sufficient for all our needs (both spiritually and physically). And when we are surrendered to HIM we see how he directs all our steps for his great name’s sake and his glory. Let us lay everything before him and learn to trust and love HIM for he is worthy!
