A Light in the Darkness

The book of Isaiah contains many wonderful prophecies of the Messiah that would come to bring salvation and righteousness and judgment to the earth. The first seven verses of Chapter 9 are no exception. These verses bring forth some of the glories of this Wonderful Messiah that would be born upon the earth and bring the righteous reign and rule of God himself to man. These prophecies look forward to both the first coming of Jesus Christ and second coming of Jesus Christ; for he is the Son of God that would come and fulfill all these things.
